What is happening?

DORSET COUNCIL

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Pemberton Close, Weymouth

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 17 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23 October 2025. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface treatment works and associated ironworks. The effect of this Order will be; [1] To impose temporary road closure on Pemberton Close for its entirety [2] To impose temporary clearway on Pemberton Close for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/ Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 October 2025. The road will be closed daily, between the hours of 08.00-18.00 and 09.00 start on Sundays, and will be re-opened to traffic overnight. This Order will enable Colas & Dorset Council to carry out essential highway maintenance works. The effect of this Order will be; [1] To impose temporary road closure on Cowleaze for its entirety. Temporary Clearway of Damers Road (Part), Dorchester

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 17 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. This Order will enable Tilbury Douglas safe ingress and egress for heavy plant vehicles to the hospital development. The effect of this Order will be; [1] To impose temporary clearway on Damers Road between nos. 81 & 83 and nos. 93 & 95. Temporary Closure of Kings Road, Dorchester

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along KINGS ROAD, DORCHESTER between its junctions with the B3144 and Icen Way, a distance of approximately 175 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 3 November 2025. This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to carry out 7 trial holes on Kings Road to support Network scheme. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; B3144 - Williams Avenue - B3150 - B3143.
