Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Stuart Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 20 October 2025

Ref: T25-58

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required due to carriageway reconstruction and will become operative on 20 October 2025. The closure is expected to last for approximately 8 weeks and will be in effect 24 hours a day. The maximum period for the order is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - Stuart Road for full extents.

Alternative routes - Stuart Road - Winterstoke Road, Byron Road, Selworthy Road, St Ives Road and vice-versa.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Wimblestone Road, Winscombe, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 7 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-175

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon works by Openreach to excavate and lay new duct to provide service to customer. This order will become operative on the 7 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Hopkins Street, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 19 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-180

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water for a Manhole chamber repair. This order will become operative on the 19 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 8.30am and 4.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made order the effect of which:

Burlington Street, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 22 October 2025

Ref: SW25.26-101

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for duct replacement. This order will become operative on the 22 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Burlington Street from junction with Hopkins Street, road closed eastwards on Burlington Street for approximately 42m.

Footpath Puffin Close to Pelican Close, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 22 October 2025

Ref: SW25.26-116

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide a safe working area for engineers to excavate and lay new ducting. This order will become operative on the 22 October 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 8 hours in duration between 9am and 5pm. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Footpath Puffin Close to Pelican Close closed from Pelican Close for 20m to the split in the footpath.

Newland Road, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 24 October 2025

Ref: SW25.26-117

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to install a telegraph pole. This order will become operative on the 24 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration in between the hours of 9.30am to 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 20 October 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to lay a new service. This order will become operative on the 20 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
