Shropshire - Various Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -

PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION

NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.

It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 20th October 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order will only be operative for the duration as stated in below.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from parking, waiting and loading on St Marys Place, Shrewsbury from opposite The Parade shopping centre to the ticket machine opposite no.5
Date & Duration: 25th October 2025 between 07:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Suspension of four parking bays for access

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Chapel Lane, Norton in Hales
Date & Duration: 20th October 2025 for 5 days between 09:30 to 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Aerial Cabling work

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Cheshire Street, Market Drayton
Date & Duration: 26th October 2025 for 1 day between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - New service connection

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Church Road, Dorrington
Date & Duration: 26th October 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - Cadent Gas, new customer connection.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Clarkes Lane, St Martins
Date & Duration: 21st October 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Erect New 11KV poles

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Claypit Street, Whitchurch
Date & Duration: 20th October 2025 between 09:30 to 14:30
Purpose: Road closed - Replace frame and cover

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A53 Drayton Road, Shawbury
Date & Duration: 23rd October 2025 for 6 days between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Pole and overhead conductor replacement.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Glyn Morlas Lane, St Martins
Date & Duration: 26th October 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - Boundary Box Install

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Harriss Green, Broseley
Date & Duration: 21st October 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Works are to excavate to clear blockages on existing ducts

Purpose: Road Closure - BT, road closure required for pole testing.

Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Remedial Reinstatement

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Lydham Road,  Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 22nd October 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, repair and replace defective
manhole frame and cover

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Newtown, Whitchurch
Date & Duration: 20th October 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 14:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace frame and cover

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4376, Bridgnorth Road junction to Much Wenlock
Date & Duration: 23rd October 2025 for 5 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4397 Marton to Newtown
Date & Duration: 20th October 2025 for 36 days
Purpose: Installation of Gabion Baskets to support edge of carriageway

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Belle Vue Road, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 24th October 2025 for 5 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Bridgnorth Road, Broseley
Date & Duration: 20th October 2025 for 3 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Carriageway resurfacing - anti skid and cold lay application

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Brookhouse Bridge to Nantypyllau jnc, Llanmadoc
Date & Duration: 20th October 2025 for 5 days between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Carriageway resurfacing

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Moreton Mill A53 junction to Moreton Corbet
Date & Duration: 20th October 2025 for 2 days between 08:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Carriageway works to prevent flooding to properties

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Snitton Lane, Knowbury
Date & Duration: 21st October 2025 for 16 days
Purpose: Remove vegetation from structure to allow survey to be undertaken

Purpose: Take out old gully, Install new gully and refix original grid & frame

Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, main replacement works.
