Parish Hill and Cary Road - Temporary Road Closure To Pre-Surface Dressing Patching Works

What is happening?

Parishes of South Cadbury and Sutton Montis, and North Cadbury
Temporary Closure of Parish Hill and Cary Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Parish Hill - from the junction with Ridgway Lane to the junction with Orchard Lane and Cary Road - from the junction with High Road to the junction with Ridgway Lane. A total distance of 2502 metres.

This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways.

Solid diamond symbolization will be used on the diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.

The Order becomes effective on 23 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 27 October 2025 and last until 10 November 2025 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 15 days.
