Owl Street - Temporary Road Closure To Fell And Remove 65 Lombardy Poplar Trees

Temporary Closure of Owl Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Owl Street - from 461 metres east of the junction with New Cross Hill, eastwards for a total distance of 179 metres.
This Order will enable Knighton Countryside Management Ltd to fell and remove 65 Lombardy poplar trees.
The Order becomes effective on 23 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 27 October 2025 and last until 31 October 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 16:00 for a total of 5 days.
