What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
GREEN LANE, CHURCH LANE & NEW ROAD, MUGGINTON

WHEN: 27 October to 31 October 2025
WHERE: Green Lane, Mugginton between its Jct. with Bullhurst Lane and its Jct. with Church Lane / New Road between its Jct. with Green Lane and its Jct. with Mercaston Lane.
REASON: To facilitate the installation of telecommunication ducting and inspection chambers.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Green Lane, Church Lane, New Road, Mercaston Lane, Cutler Lane, Bullhurst Lane and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Please note that Green Lane will not be closed at the same time as Church Lane and New Road.e Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
