What is happening?

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(FOREST STREET, NORTH STREET, PENDLE STREET AND SCOTLAND ROAD, NELSON, PENDLE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND VARIOUS PARKING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 202*

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Pendle Borough) (Revocation and Various Parking Restrictions) (Amendment) Order 2013" insofar as it relates to the following:
i. Item (22) of Schedule 10.01;
ii. Item (3) of Schedule 12.084;
iii. Items (2)(i) and (4) of Schedule 12.086.
b) The "Lancashire County Council (Various Road, Chorley, Fylde, Pendle, Rossendale, South Ribble, West Lancashire and Wyre Boroughs) (Revocations and Various Parking Restrictions (June No1)) Order 2018" insofar as it relates to Item (x) of Schedule 4.
c) The "Lancashire County Council (Pendle Borough Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009" insofar as it relates to the following:
i. Items (289)e)(i) and (289)e)(v) of Schedule 10.01;
ii. Items (3)(ii), (7)(ii) and (9)(ii) of Schedule 12.086.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Forest Street, Nelson, the south side, from a point 75.5 metres east of its junction with the Centreline of Every Street to its junction with the Centreline of New Scotland Road;
b) North Street, Nelson, the south side, from its junction with the Centreline of Scotland Road for a distance of 9 metres in a westerly direction;
c) Pendle Street, Nelson, the north side, from its junction with the Centreline of Scotland Road for a distance of 11.5 metres in a westerly direction;
d) Scotland Road, Nelson, the east side, from its junction with the Centreline of Russell Street to its junction with the Centreline of Forest Street;
e) Scotland Road, Nelson, the north west side, from a point 34.5 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Pendle Street to its junction with the Centreline of Russell Street;
f) Scotland Road, Nelson, the west side, from a point 14 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Pendle Street for a distance of 25.5 metres in a northerly direction;
g) Scotland Road, Nelson, the west side, from a point 25 metres north of its junction with the Centreline of North Street to its junction with the Centreline of Forest Street;
h) Scotland Road, Nelson, the west side, from a point 13.5 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of North Street for a distance of 20.5 metres in a northerly direction.
3. Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 1 hour with no return within 2 hours Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) Scotland Road, Nelson, the west side, from a point 14 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Pendle Street for a distance of 20.5 metres in a southerly direction;
b) Scotland Road, Nelson, the west side, from a point 11.5 metres north of its junction with the Centreline of Pendle Street for a distance of 44.5 metres in a northerly direction.
4. Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 1 hour with no return within 2 hours Monday to Saturday 8:30am – 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) Forest Street, Nelson, the south side, from a point 63.5 metres east of its junction with the Centreline of Every Street for a distance of 12 metres in an easterly direction;
b) North Street, Nelson, the south side, from a point 9 metres west of its junction with the Centreline of Scotland Road for a distance of 8 metres in a westerly direction;
c) Pendle Street, Nelson, the north side, from a point 11.5 metres west of its junction with the Centreline of Scotland Road for a distance of 12.5 metres in a westerly direction;
d) Scotland Road, Nelson, the west side, from a point 7 metres north of its junction with the Centreline of North Street for a distance of 18 metres in a northerly direction.

A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
