NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(CHARLES STREET, LEEDS ROAD AND NEW SCOTLAND ROAD, NELSON, PENDLE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING) ORDER 202*

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1) Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Pendle Borough) (Revocation and Various Parking Restrictions) (Amendment) Order 2013" insofar as it relates to Item (13) of Schedule 10.01.
b) The "Lancashire County Council (Pendle Borough Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009" insofar as it relates to Items (8)a) and (8)b) of Schedule 13.01.
2) Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Charles Street, Nelson, the north west side, from a point 40 metres north east of its junction with the Centreline of Fleet Street for a distance of 6.5 metres in a north easterly direction;
b) Charles Street, Nelson, the south east side, from a point 26 metres north east of its junction with the Centreline of Fleet Street for a distance of 17 metres in a north easterly direction;
c) Leeds Road, Nelson, both sides, from its roundabout junction with New Scotland Road/Holme Street to its junction with the Centreline of Barkerhouse Road.
3) Introduce a prohibition of loading and unloading in the following lengths of road:
a) New Scotland Road, Nelson, the east side, from its junction with the Centreline of Leeds Road to a point 34 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Pendle Street;
b) New Scotland Road, Nelson, the west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Leeds Road to a point 28.5 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Pendle Street.

A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
