THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (WAITING AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS) (BOUNDARY ROAD, BARKING) AMENDMENT No. ORDER 202

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under sections 6, 45, 46 and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter called “the Act”) and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act propose to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to:

  1. Amend the existing shared use ‘Permit Holders Only Zone GE Mon-Sat 8.30am-9pm/Limited Waiting Mon-Sat 8.30am-9pm 1 hr No return within 2 hrs’ bay to a ‘Resident Permit Holders Only Zone GE Mon-Sat 8.30am-9pm’ for all bays within the GE Zone including the following locations: Abbey Road, Boundary Road, Dovehouse Mead, Gascoigne Road, Hardwicke Street, Linsdell Road, St Anns, St Margarets, St Marys, The Shaftesburys, Tomlins Orchard, and Wheelers Cross.
  2. Introduce a No Waiting At Any Time restriction on the north side of The Shaftesburys between the junction with Abbey Road and the northern arm of The Shaftesburys, behind the length of road where there is currently No Stopping on School Entrance Markings.
  3. Revoke the No Waiting at any time restrictions, Disabled Blue Badge Holders Only bays and Permit Holders Only Zone GE Mon-Sat 8.30am-9pm and Limited Waiting Mon-Sat 8.30am-9pm 1 hr No return within 2hrs bays on St Marys, both sides, and to the north-west and south-east of St Marys including the section of land now owned by Greatfields School.

A copy of the draft Orders together with plans and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Orders are available to view on the Councils website by visiting the following webpage https://www.lbbd.gov.uk/parking/parking-area and selecting ‘New and proposed traffic and parking schemes’ or available for inspection at the Adult Library, First Floor, Barking Learning Centre, Barking between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Any objections and other representations to the proposed Orders must be made in writing stating the grounds on which they are made and sent for the attention of Sarah Marriott-Carle to the address below, within 21 days from the date of publication of this Notice or by visiting the council website and following the link below:
