CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(EVERTON HILL, EVERTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Everton Hill, Everton from Waterloo Hill to bend in the road.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 27 to 29 October 2025 between the hours of 8am and 4pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Tempsford Road, A1, St Neots Road, High Street, Swaden, Everton Road and Sandy Road.

The Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of The Pastures, Upper Stondon from junction with Meppershall Road to Recreation Avenue.

This temporary closure is required to enable Section 278 works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 8am on 30 October 2025 to 4pm on 31 October 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 30 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 27 to 29 October 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Shefford Road, A507, A600, Shillington Road, Marquis Hill, Upton End Road, Meppershall Road and vice versa.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary closure is required to enable manhole cleaning and maintenance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
