ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (C933 Bishops Lane, Robertsbridge)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.3

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bishops Lane – from the junction with C18 Station Road to the junction with U6983 Bishops Croft.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Station Road, High Street, George Hill – C933 Heathfield Gardens, Bishops Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 and 29 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C24 Jurys Gap Road, Camber)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Jurys Gap Road – from the junction with C24 Lydd Road to the county border.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C24 Lydd Road, New Lydd Road, Camber Road – A259(T) Folkestone Road, Guldeford Lane, Rye Road, Brookland bypass, Lydd Road – B2075 Romney Road (KCC) – B2075 Station Road (KCC) – B2075 High Street (KCC) – C24 Jurys Gap Road (KCC) and vice versa.

The Order commences 30 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 30 October and 4 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A2036 Wrestwood Road, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Wrestwood Road – from the junction with U6731 St Johns Road to the junction with U6701 Chantry Avenue.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2036 Wrestwood Road – A269 London Road, Combe Valley Way – A2690 Combe Valley Way – A259(T) King Offa Way, De La Warr Road, Glynde Gap roundabout – A2036 Hastings Road, Wrestwood Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 30 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 05:30hrs on 30 and 31 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2159 Battle Road, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.3

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Battle Road – southbound only, outside ASDA.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2159 Battle Road – A2100 Beauport Park roundabout, The Ridge West – A2690 Queensway – B2092 Queensway, Crowhurst Road, Harley Shute Road – A259 Bexhill Road, Grosvenor Crescent, Marina, Grand Parade – A2102 London Road – A21 London Road.

The Order commences 29 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 29 and 30 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3079 Tile Barn Road, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Tile Barn Road – from the junction with U3080 Denham Close to the junction with U3077 Howlett Close.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3079 Tile Barn Road – U3050 Church Wood Drive, Marline Road – U3074 Quebec Road – U3075 Old Church Road – U3079 Lancaster Road, Tile Barn Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 October and 2 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3186 Priory Road, Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Priory Road – from the junction with U3202 Alpine Road to the junction with U3202 Gordon Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3186 Priory Road – U3197 Wellington Road – U3191 Milward Road – U3186 Castle Hill Road – A2101 Albert Road, Queens Road, Park Gates roundabout – C215 Elphinstone Road – C457 Mount Pleasant Road – U3186 Priory Road and vice versa. The Order commences 27 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 and 31 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.3

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Pett Road – from the junction with C23 Chick Hill to the junction with U6419 Elms Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C23 Chick Hill – C92 Pett Level Road, Sea Road – A259(T) Tanyard Lane, Ferry Hill, Roberts Hill, Rectory Lane, Hastings Road, Main Road, The Thorne, Rye Road, Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill – C23 Friars Hill, Pett Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 and 31 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Hastings Road & Perryman Cross – from the junction with A28 Main Street to the junction with A28 Well House Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic northbound via A28 Well House Hill, Horns Cross, Northiam Road – B2089 Udimore Road, Ferry Road – A268 Station Approach, Cinque Ports Street, Wish Street – A259(T) Wish Street roundabout, Strand Quay, South Undercliff, Fishmarket Road, Fishmarket roundabout – A268 Fishmarket Road, Rye Hill, Rye Road, Main Street, Flackley Ash, Barnets Hill, Two Hovens, Peasmarsh Road, Whitebread Lane – A28 Station Road, Main Street and southbound via A28 Main Street, Station Road – A268 Whitebread Lane, Peasmarsh Road, Two Hovens, Barnets Hill, Flackley Ash, Main Street, Rye Road, Rye Hill, Fishmarket Road – A259(T) Fishmarket roundabout, Fishmarket Road, South Undercliff, Strand Quay, Wish Street roundabout – A268 Wish Street, Ferry Road – B2089 Ferry Road, Udimore Road – A28 Northiam Road, Horns Cross, Well House Hill.

The Order commences 27 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs between 27 October and 15 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C27 Powdermill Lane, Battle/Catsfield)

(Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025 No.2

To allow The English Heritage Trust to safely operate the Battle of Hastings event 2025, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit

Powdermill Lane – from the junction with A2100 Lower Lake to the junction with B2204 Horns Corner. The Order commences 10 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place between 10 and 13 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3206 West Street, Hastings)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

West Street – from the junction with A259 East Parade to the junction with U3206 Cutter Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 East Parade – U3206 Cutter Lane.

The Order commences 13 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 17 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3101 Bulverhythe Road, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bulverhythe Road – from the junction with A259 Bexhill Road to the junction with U3101 Arnside Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Bexhill Road – U3101 Bulverhythe Road and vice versa.

The Order commenced 18 August 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 October and 21 November 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6624 Eatenden Lane, Mountfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Eatenden Lane – from the junction with U6624 Solomons Lane to 2 Railway Cottages.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6624 Eatenden Lane – C96 Netherfield Road, Netherfield Hill, Netherfield Road – A2100 London Road – U6413 New Cut – U6623 Hoath Hill and vice versa.

The Order commenced 17 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 12 and 13 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C213 Sheepstreet Lane, Etchingham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Sheepstreet Lane – from the junction with C213 Church Lane to the junction with C83 Wardsbrook Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C83 Myskyns Road – C212 Battenhurst Road, Shrub Lane – A265 Etchingham Road, Straight Mile, High Street – U6196 Burgh Hill – U6895 Fysie Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 10 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 10 and 13 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.3

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Forewood Lane – from the junction with P6731 Old Forewood Lane to the junction with P6661 Station Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C93 Forewood Lane, Crowhurst Road, Sandrock Hill, Crowhurst Road – B2092 Queensway – A2690 Queensway – A2100 The Ridge West, Beauport Park roundabout, Battle Road, Hastings Road – C93 Telham Lane, Forewood Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 15 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 15 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Brede Lane – from the junction with U6627 Reservoir Lane to the junction with C21 Pottery Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C21 Brede Lane – B2244 The Street, Sandrock Hill, Hawkhurst Road, Compasses – B2165 Cripps Corner Road – B2089 Catts Green, Whorne Woods, Tank Hill, Chitcombe Road – A28 Cackle Street – C21 Pottery Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 13 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 17 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Woodland Vale Road – at the junction with A2102 London Road.

Diversion via U3149 Woodland Vale Road – U3148 De Cham Road, Southwater Road – U3146 Hatherley Road – A2102 London Road and vice versa.

Tower Road – at the junction with A2102 London Road.

Diversion via U3154 Tower Road – U3151 St Peters Road – U3156 Chapel Park Road – U3148 De Cham Road, Southwater Road – U3146 Hatherley Road – A2102 London Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 13 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 and 18 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A2100 The Ridge West/Battle Road/ Beauport Park Roundabout/U3316 Stonebeach Rise, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

The Ridge West/Battle Road/Beauport Park Roundabout – from the junction with A2690 Queensway to the junction with A2100 Hastings Road.

Diversion via A2690 Queensway, Combe Valley Way – A2691 Haven Brook Avenue – A269 Ninfield Road, Bexhill Road, The Green, High Street, Standard Hill – A271 Kitchenham Road, Beechdown Wood, North Trade Road, Ten Sixty-Six roundabout – A2100 High Street, Upper Lake, Lower Lake, Hastings Road and vice versa.

Stonebeach Rise – from the junction with A2100 Beauport Park roundabout to the junction with U3316 Highwater View.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 16 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 16 and 24 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2159 Battle Road, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Battle Road – from the junction with A2100 Beauport Park roundabout to the junction with U3313 Washington Avenue.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic northbound via B2159 Battle Road – A21 London Road – A2102 London Road, Norman Road, Warrior Square – A259 Grand Parade, Marina, Grosvenor Crescent, Bexhill Road – B2092 Harley Shute Road, Crowhurst Road, Queensway – A2690 Queensway – A2100 The Ridge West, Beauport Park roundabout and southbound via A2100 Beauport Park roundabout, The Ridge West – A2690 Queensway – B2092 Queensway, Crowhurst Road, Harley Shute Road – A259 Bexhill Road, Grosvenor Crescent, Marina, Grand Parade – A2102 London Road – A21 London Road – B2159 Battle Road.

The Order commences 16 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 16 and 24 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
