Hill Place, Arbroath - Temporary Closure for Scottish Water Works

What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 06/10/2025 Angus Council made The Angus Council (Hill Place, Arbroath) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that works may be undertaken on behalf of Scottish Water.

The Order will come into force on 13 October 2025, from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of 10 days. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months.

The effect of the Order is to (1) prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on Hill Terrace, Arbroath from its junction with Hill Place eastwards for a distance of five metres or thereby, and (2) prohibit the waiting of vehicles on Hill Place (both sides) from a point 40 metres or thereby north-west of its junction with Hill Road, north-westwards for a distance of 40 metres or thereby.

Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. There is no alternative route. Full details of the Order are available at www.angus.gov.uk/trafficorders.
