What is happening?

NORTH NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(NEWTON ROAD, RUSHDEN)

(30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 82, 83, and 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, proposes to make an Order to introduce a 30 miles per hour speed limit on the length of road described in the Schedule to this Notice.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on the roads listed below.

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan showing the exact length of road to which it relates and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Order, may be:

MAKING REPRESENTATIONS OR OBJECTIONS – Any person wishing to object to, support, or make representations regarding the proposed Order must do so in writing, stating the grounds for their objection or representation, to the Traffic Orders Section, Kier Highways, Highways Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northamptonshire, NN6 9BX or by email to: NNCParkingenquiries@kier.co.uk – Deadline for responses is 30th October 2025.
