Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Little Rollright, Cross Hands Lane
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 27 October 2025
Coming into force: 3 November 2025
This Order is being introduced because of site clearance, GPR and drainage surveys and trial hole works which are anticipated to be completed 21 November 2025. This will operate between 09:30 and 15:30hrs daily.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Cross Hands Lane from junction with A44 north-eastwards towards Taylor Hill Farm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians.
The alternative route for traffic is via the A44 to Chipping Norton, New Street, A44 Banbury Road, A3400, to Cross Hands Lane and vice versa
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16606/AC)
