Sandwell Area - Multiple Temporary Traffic Orders

What is happening?

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Ryders Green Road, West Bromwich)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit
vehicles from proceeding along Ryders Green Road, which will be closed from
the junction with Charles Street (southern side) to the canal bridge (northern
side). Access to any affected frontages will be maintained but only when
safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via White Hall Road, Great Bridge Street
& vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected
to be completed by 23/11/2025 effective from 20/10/2025 (24hr). Purpose –
to facilitate access for gas service works by Cadent Gas Ltd.
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Cradley Road and St Annes Road,
Cradley Heath) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2025 intends to
temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Cradley Road, which will
be closed at the junction of High Street, and St Annes Road which will be closed between the junctions of Fox Oak Street and High Street. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits.
The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 28/11/2025 effective from 20/10/25 (24hr). A traffic diversion route for the St Annes Road closure will be signed via Lower High Street, High Street & vice versa. A traffic diversion route for the Cradley Road (south-bound) closure will be signed via Lower High Street (west-bound), Forge Lane,
Cradley Forge, Maypole Hill & Lyde Green, Bridge Street, Cradley Road &
Chester Road. A traffic diversion route for the Cradley Road (north-bound)
closure will be signed via Lyde Green, Maypole Hill, Cradley Forge & Forge
Lane. Purpose – to facilitate access for civils works associated with the
upgrade of the existing traffic signal installation by Bridge Construction Ltd
on behalf of Sandwell MBC.
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Dudley Road, Tipton) (Temporary
One-Way Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles
from proceeding along Dudley Road in a southerly direction between the
junctions of High Street (southern side) and Birmingham New Road. Access
to any affected frontages will be maintained but only when safety permits.
Traffic will be diverted via Sedgley Road West, Park Lane West, Sedgley Road
East, Dudley Port, Burnt Tree & Birmingham New Road. The order also intends
to temporarily prohibit vehicles from a left turning movement from both High
Street & Vernon Avenue to Dudley Road and temporarily prohibit vehicles
from a right turning movement from Castle Road to Dudley Road. The
maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed
by 26/10/2025 effective from 20/10/2025 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate
access to install a duct run for a new high voltage electrical cable by National
Grid Electricity Distribution.
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Jubilee Road, Tipton) (Temporary
Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from
proceeding along Jubilee Road, which will be closed from its junction with
Glebefields Road to west of its junction with Mansell Road. Access to any
affected frontages will be maintained but only when safety permits. Traffic
will be diverted via Glebefields Road, Highfield Road & vice versa. The
maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 17/10/2025 (24hrs). Purpose – to facilitate access for maintenance works by Severn Trent Water. For more information please

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Horseley Heath, Tipton) (Temporary
Cycle Lane Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit cycles from
proceeding along Horseley Heath, which will be closed from west of its
junction with Market Place to east of its junction with Lewis Street. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained but only when safety permits.
A traffic diversion route will not be signed. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 24/10/2025 effective from 20/10/2025 (24hrs).
