Asby, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utiity Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4018, ASBY) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U4018, Asby, from a point approx. 490m east of its junction with the U4019, extending in an overall easterly direction for approx. 50m.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of U4018 Asby Road, A5086 Crossgates, C2054 and U4019.

The Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day between 0730 and 1800 hours, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
