Gosforth, Temporary Traffic Resstrictions Due To Highway Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C4018 GOSFORTH) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C4018 Gosforth from a point approx. 780 metres north east of its junction with the A595, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 700 metres.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C4018, C4019 Nether Wasdale, C4025 Santon Bridge and A595 Holmrook to Gosforth.

The Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 9 days between 0800 and 1600 hours, each day and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
