(BANK STREET, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Bank Street, Galashiels) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 14 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 16 October 2025. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Bank Street, Galashiels at junction with St John Street.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via St John Street, Scott Street, Livingston Place and Bank Street Brae to the point of closure.

(A7 MAGDALA TERRACE, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (A7 Magdala Terrace, Galashiels) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:30 on 14 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 16 October 2025. The Order is required for BT works.
When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along north side of the A7 at Magdala Terrace, Galashiels from Number 96 to Number 81.
There is alternative route. A two-way temporary traffic lights system will be in operation.

(LAIRBURN DRIVE, CLOVENFORDS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Lairburn Drive, Clovenfords) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 16 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:00 and 21:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water Ironworks repair.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Lairburn Drive, Clovenfords.
The alternative route for southeast bound traffic is via Lairburn Drive, Vine Street, Old Vineries, Muscat Brae and Lairburn Drive to the point of closure, for northwest bound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(LOAN VIEW, LAUDER)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Loan View, Lauder) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 19:00 on 17 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 07:00 on 18 October 2025. The Order is required for Scottish Water Ironworks repair.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Loan View, Lauder.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Loan View, Castle Wynd, The Row, and A68 West High Street to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A three-way lights system will be in place on the A68.

(JOHNSTON’S CLOSE, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Johnston’s Close, Galashiels) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 14 October 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 17 October 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for safety inspections on telephone exchange.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Johnston’s Close, Galashiels.
The alternative route for westbound traffic is via Bridge Street, Sime Place and High Street to the point of closure.
