Mae’r Hysbysiad hwn yn disodli’r un a enwir ‘Gorchymyn Cefnffordd yr A470 (Castle Street, Llanfair-ym-Muallt, Powys) (Gwahardd Cerbydau Dros Dro) 202-’ a gyhoeddwyd ar 1 Hydref 2025.

Mae Gweinidogion Cymru yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 ymhen dim llai na 7 niwrnod i ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn. Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffyrdd yr A470 a’r A483, neu gerllaw iddynt, yn Llanfair-ym-Muallt, Powys.

Effaith y Gorchymyn arfaethedig fydd:
i. Gwahardd dros dro bob cerbyd rhag mynd ar y darn o gefnffordd yr A470 a bennir yn Atodlen 1 i’r Hysbysiad hwn. Disgrifir y llwybr arall yn yr Atodlen honno hefyd

ii. Gwahardd dros dro bob cerbyd rhag aros ar y darnau o gefnffordd yr A483 bennir yn Atodlen 2 i’r Hysbysiad hwn. Bydd y trefniadau parcio presennol ar Broad Street a High Street yn cael ei atal yn rhannol tra bo’r gwaith yn cael ei wneud.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 3 Tachwedd 2025. Gwneir y gwaith o dan amryw drefniadau rheoli traffig gan gynnwys cau darnau o’r gefnffordd am 24 awr, cau darnau o’r gefnffordd yn ystod y nos a chau lonydd drwy ddefnyddio goleuadau traffig dros dro.
Disgwylir y bydd y gwaharddiad dros dro yn weithredol o 09:00 o’r gloch ar 3 Tachwedd
hyd 07:00 o’r gloch ar 11 Tachwedd 2025, neu hyd nes y caiff yr arwyddion traffig dros dro eu symud ymaith yn barhaol.

Dim ond yn ystod y cyfnod a bennir uchod y disgwylir i’r Gorchymyn fod yn weithredol. Er hynny, bydd yn parhau’n ddilys am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf rhag ofn y bydd angen ailamserlennu’r gwaith neu wneud gwaith canlyniadol neu waith arall. Bydd hysbysiad am unrhyw newidiadau i’r amseroedd a’r dyddiadau yn cael ei arddangos cyn gwneud unrhyw waith a ailamserlennir.

ATODLEN 2
Y darn o ochr gogledd-orllewinol yr A483 Broad Street sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 1 metr i’r de-orllewin o ffin eiddo Rhifau 5 a 7 Broad Street i ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â King’s Head Lane.

Y darn o ochr gogledd-orllewinol yr A483 High Street sy’n ymestyn o ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â King’s Head Lane i bwynt 4.5 metr i’r de-orllewin o ffin eiddo Rhifau 5 a 7 High Street.

Y darn o ochr gogledd-orllewinol yr A483 High Street sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 3.5 metr i’r gogledd-ddwyrain o ffin eiddo Rhifau 27 a 29 High Street i ganolbwynt ei chyffordd â Strand Street. 

THE A470 AND A483 TRUNK ROADS (BUILTH WELLS, POWYS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 202-
This Notice supersedes the one titled ‘The A470 Trunk Road (Castle Street, Builth Wells, Powys) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles) Order 202-’ that was published on 1 October 2025.

The Welsh Ministers propose, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A470 and A483 trunk roads at Builth Wells, Powys.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to:
i. Temporarily prohibit all vehicles from proceeding on the length of the A470 trunk road specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. The alternative route is described therein.

ii. Temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting on the lengths of the A483 trunk road specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice. The current parking arrangements on Broad Street and High Street will be partially suspended whilst works are undertaken.

The Order will come into force on 3 November 2025. The works will be undertaken under varying traffic management arrangements including full 24-hour closures, night-time closures and lane closures under temporary traffic signal controls. The
temporary prohibition is expected to operate from 09:00 hours on 3 November until
07:00 hours on 11 November 2025, or until the temporary traffic signs are
permanently removed.

Although the Order is only expected to be in force during the period specified above, it will remain valid for a maximum period of 18 months, as a contingency, should the work need to be rescheduled or consequential or other work is required.
Notice of any changes to times and dates will be displayed before any rescheduled work begins.

SCHEDULE 1
The length of the A470 Castle Street that extends from the centre-point of its junction with the A470 Hay Road to the centre-point of its junction with the A483 Broad Street and A483 Station Road.

Alternative route
The alternative route for northbound vehicles is via the southbound A470 to Brecon, westbound A40 to Llandovery and north-eastbound A483 to Builth Wells: vice-versa for southbound vehicles.


SCHEDULE 2
The length of the north-western side of the A483 Broad Street that extends from a point 1 metre south-west of the property boundary of Numbers 5 and 7 Broad Street to the centre-point of its junction with King’s Head Lane.

The length of the north-western side of the A483 High Street that extends from the centre-point of its junction with King’s Head Lane to a point 4.5 metres south-west of the property boundary of Numbers 5 and 7 High Street.
The length of the north-western side of the A483 High Street that extends from a point 3.5 metres north-east of the property boundary of Numbers 27 and 29 High Street to the centre-point of its junction with Strand Street.
