What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Highgate,
Balne Order 2025, No. 351 We have made this Order to prohibit any
vehicle from using Highgate, Balne due to Quickline works, installing
ducting & chambers for the new BDUK network. It is envisaged that the
restriction will be in force from 11/10/25 until 26/10/25 inclusive, however
the max duration of this Order will be from 11/10/25 until 11/12/25. The
closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a
local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate.

Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment
No TBC, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that North Yorkshire Council
proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) &
35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to
the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which
will be to amend “North Yorkshire Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading
& Provision of Parking, District of Selby, Consolidation Order 2013” by
introducing the restrictions specified. Tadcaster, Stutton Road, East,
Junction lines on Leeds Road, 31m South to the dropped tactile crossing.
A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected
& a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order
may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Tadcaster Community
Library, Station Road, Tadcaster LS24 9JG during normal office hours from
09/10/25 to 30/10/25 & also viewed online at

www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the
proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing,
addressed to Area 7 Selby Highways Office, Canal Road, Selby, North

website link above by 30/10/25.
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Old Vicarage Lane, Monk Fryston,
Order 2025 No 378 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle
from using Old Vicarage Lane, Monk Fryston due to Northern Powergrid
works to undertake a cable overlay. It is envisaged that the restriction will
be in force from 27/10/25 until 14/11/25 inclusive, however the max
duration of this Order will be from 27/10/25 until 20/12/25. The closure
period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local
alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. All enquiries

Temporary 40mph Speed Restriction. River Aire to Drax Power
Station, Drax, Order 2025 No 381 We have made this Order that will
prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in excess of 40mph along River Aire
to Drax Power Station, Drax, due to uneven carriageway. It is envisaged
that the restriction will be in force from 13/10/25 until 13/10/26 inclusive.
This follows on from Emergency Order No: The restriction will be put into
