Lower Aisholt, Temporary Road Closures Due To Pre-Surface Works

What is happening?

SOMERSET COUNCIL

Parish of Spaxton Temporary Closure of Lane Passing Through Aisholt To Lower Aisholt and Lane Through Lower Aisholt

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Lane Passing Through Aisholt To Lower Aisholt - from the junction with Broomyland Road to the junction with Lane Past Frenches Farm; Lane Through Lower Aisholt - from the junction with Lane Past Frenches Farm to the junction with Beech Tree Hill. A total distance of 1417 metres.

This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization will be used on the diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.

The Order becomes effective on 21st October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months.

The works are expected to commence on 27th October 2025 and last until 3rd November 2025 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 8 days.
