Spend Lane - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate BT Pole Replacement

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL 

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE SPEND LANE, THORPE 

WHEN: 30 October and 31 October 2025 (between 08:00 and 16:00 each day) 

WHERE: Spend Lane, Thorpe 300m south from The Firs. 

REASON: To facilitate BT pole replacement. 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Spend Lane, Narlow Lane, Washbrook Lane, A515 Ashbourne Road, Buxton Road, and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. 

The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. 

Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. 

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
