What is happening?

Traffic Orders

On 06 October 2025 Angus Council made The Angus Council (Dronley Mill to Eastfield, Dronley) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so
that public utility cabling works may be undertaken. The Order will come into force on 13 October 2025 from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of seven days. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on the; (1) Leoch (North Dronley Road) (C9), (2) Eastfield Road (C9 - C6), and (3) Dronley - Eastfield (C8 - C9) roads.
Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. The alternative route for westbound vehicular traffic is via Eastfield Road (C9 - C6), Tealing to Auchterhouse (C6), Muirhead to Alyth (B954), North Dronley (C9) and Dundee to Dronley (C8) roads. The reverse route applies. The alternative route for eastbound vehicular traffic is via Dundee to Dronley (C8), Leoch
(C9), Kirkton Road (C9 - C6) and Tealing to Auchterhouse (C6) roads. The reverse route applies. Full details of the Order are available at www.angus.gov.uk/trafficorders
