TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

WEYBOURNE – A149 The Street from 78m southwest of its junction with Bolding Way for 300m south-westwards to facilitate pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 6th October 2025 (may continue until 17th November 2025). Alternative route is via: A149 Weybourne Road/Salthouse Road/Coast Road/High Street/Coast Road/New Road, B1156

Langham Road/Smokers Hole/Brinton Road, A148 Holt Road/

BEACHAMWELL AND BARTON BENDISH1) C122 White

Road/Beachamwell Road from 1200m southeast of its junction

with A1122 Swaffham Road for 160m south-eastwards and;

2) C45/50 Narborough Hill from 1100m south of its junction

with A1122 Swaffham Road for 20m southwards and; 3) C45/40

Beachamwell Road from 1700m northeast of its junction with

Eastmoor Road for 20m north-eastwards to facilitate overhead

electrical cable replacement works from 6th to 10th October

2025 (may continue until 21st November 2025). Alternative

route is via: Roads 1 and 2: A1122 Swaffham Road/Main

Road/High Street/Downham Road, A134 Dereham Road/

Downham Road/Lynn Road/Stoke Road/Stoke Ferry Bypass,

C44 Oxborough Road/Swaffham Road/Cley Road/Southlands;

Road 3: C49 Fincham Road, A1122 Swaffham Road (Barton

Bendish, Stoke Ferry, Swaffham, Stradsett, Fincham, Boughton,

Oxborough, West Dereham, Cockley Cley, Wereham). The works

promoter is UK Power Networks.

BERGH APTONC375 Church Meadow Lane from its junction

with C374 Threadneedle Street to its junction with U76374 Upper

Kiln Lane to facilitate new duct and chambers installation works

from 6th to 17th October 2025 (may continue until

28th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Bergh Apton Road,

Nichols Road, Church Meadow Lane (Bergh Apton, Alpington).

The works promoter is CityFibre.

BLO’ NORTON1) Church Lane from its junction with The Street

for 412m southwards and; 2) Middle Road from its junction with

Church Lane for 134m eastwards to facilitate overhead lines and

poles replacement works between 09:30 and 16:00 on

7th October 2025 (may continue until 18th November 2025).

Alternative route is via: Diversion 1: Hopton Road, Thelnetham

Road, B1111 High Street/Common Road, C145 Hall Lane;

Diversion 2: U33166 Sells Lane, C145 The Street (Thelnetham,

Garboldisham, Blo’ Norton, Hopton). The works promoter is UK

Power Networks.

BRACON ASH AND HETHELC186 Wymondham Road from its

junction with C825 Potash Lane for 870m eastwards to facilitate

drainage works from 6th to 31st October 2025 (may continue

until 30th April 2026). Alternative road is via: Wymondham Road,

Norwich Road, The Street, Main Road, Mulbarton Road, Ipswich

Road, A47, A11, Stanfield Road (Mulbarton, Wreningham,

Cringleford, Hethersett, Wymondham, Bracon Ash, Keswick and

Intwood, Swardeston, Caistor St. Edmund and Bixley,

Ketteringham). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

BROCKDISHU76160 Hall Road from 380m east of its junction

with C352 Grove Road for 30m eastwards to facilitate new water

connection works from 6th to 8th October 2025 (may continue

until 19th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Grove Road,

The Street, Turnbill Lane (Brockdish, Needham). The works

promoter is Anglian Water.

BURGH ST. PETER WITH WHEATACREU76297 Staithe Road

from its junction with C388 Wash Lane to its junction with

U76296 Burgh Road to facilitate sign repair works on 6th October

2025 (may continue until 17th November 2025). Alternative

route is via: Staithe Road, Burgh Road, Oaks Lane, Pit Road,

Staithe Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

DITCHINGHAMB1332 Norwich Road from its junction with

C380 Hollow Hill Road for 575m southwards to facilitate

carriageway repair works between 20:00 and 06:00 from 6th to

7th October 2025 (may continue until 18th November 2025).

Alternative route is via: B1332 Norwich Road/Bungay Road/The

Street/Bungay Road, A146 Loddon Road/Hellington Corner/

Loddon Bypass/Beccles Road, A143 Yarmouth Road/Kirby Cane

Bypass/Broome Bypass (Stockton, Framingham Pigot,

Poringland, Kirstead, Ellingham, Framingham Earl, Ditchingham,

Chedgrave, Kirby Bedon, Brooke, Yelverton, Broome, Hellington,

Hales, Woodton, Gillingham, Ashby St. Mary, Loddon, Sisland,

Thurton, Caistor St. Edmund and Bixley, Kirby Cane, Holverston,

Hedenham). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

FOULDEN – Foulden Road from 360m west of its junction with

Cockley Cley Road for 30m westwards to facilitate meter

exchange works on 9th October 2025 (may continue until

20th November 2025). Alternative route is via: C42 Road From

Foulden To Didlington/Foulden Road, A134 Thetford Road/

Cranwich Road/Lynn Road, A1065 Swaffham Road, C112 Foulden

Road/Cockley Cley Road (Foulden, Ickburgh, Northwold,

Didlington, Mundford, Cranwich). The works promoter is

Anglian Water.

HETHERSETT – Station Lane from 290 metres north of its

junction with A11 Trunk Road for 10 metres northwards to

facilitate National Highways junction improvements to the A11

Station Road junction. During the duration this Order is in force,

the Norfolk County Council (Hethersett/Ketteringham)

(Prohibition of Driving) Order 2002 shall be suspended and traffic

(constituting any class of vehicle) over the Road shall be permitted

from 6th October 2025 to 31st March 2026 (may continue until

5th April 2027). Alternative route is N/A. The works promoter for

this suspension is National Highways.

KESWICK AND INTWOODC184 Low Road at its intersection

with the level crossing for 10m northwards and 10m southwards to

facilitate rail maintenance works between 23:00 and 04:00 from

10th to 13th October 2025 (may continue until 24th November

2025). Alternative route is via: Low Road, Mulbarton Road, Ipswich

Road, Daniels Road, Newmarket Road, Eaton Street, Newmarket

Road, Keswick Road (Cringleford, Keswick and Intwood). The works

promoter is Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

LITTLE MELTONC770 Little Melton Road from its junction with

C770 Burnthouse Lane for 800m westwards to facilitate drainage

works from 6th to 8th October 2025 (may continue until

19th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Little Melton Road,

Brickmakers Lane, Harness Maker Way, Burnthouse Lane

(Little Melton, Hethersett). The works promoter is Norfolk County

Council.

OXBOROUGH1) Oxborough Footpath 1 from its junction with

Eastmoor Road for 1170m north-eastwards and; 2) Oxborough

Footpath 3 from its junction with Eastmoor Road for 565m

northwards and; 3) Oxborough Restricted Byway 2 from its

junction with Eastmoor Road for 1430m north-eastwards to

facilitate new water main works from 6th to 17th October 2025

(may continue until 28th November 2025). Alternative route is

via: N/A. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

ROCKLANDSU33034 Magpie Lane from its junction with

B1077 Brayes Lane for 540m south-eastwards to facilitate

carriageway patching works from 6th to 10th October 2025 (may

continue until 21st November 2025). Alternative route is via:

B1077 Brayes Lane, C135/U33034 The Street and vice versa.

The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

SAHAM TONEYC121 Ploughboy Lane from 120m south of its

junction with C119 Hills Road for 40m southwards to facilitate

water connection works from 8th to 10th October 2025 (may

continue until 21st November 2025). Alternative route is via:

C121 Ploughboy Lane, C125 Chequers Lane, C119 Hills Road and

vice versa. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

SHELFANGERC205 Heywood Road from its junction with

U76206 Wash Lane for 290m eastwards to facilitate meter

exchange works between 08:00 and 16:00 on 8th October 2025

(may continue until 19th November 2025). Alternative route is

via: Heywood Road, The Heywood, Diss Road, Winfarthing Road,

Church Road, Wash Lane (Heywood, Winfarthing, Shelfanger).

The works promoter is Anglian Water.

SWAFFHAM1) Lynn Road from its junction with Lawrence Way

for 84m eastwards and 2) Whitsands Road from its junction with

Lynn Road for 10m southwards to facilitate sewer connection

works and resurfacing works between 08:00 and 17:00 from 8th

to 12th October 2025 (may continue until 23rd November 2025).

Alternative route is via:

Road 1: Clockwise: Lynn Road, A47 Swaffham Bypass, A1065

Castleacre Road/Station Street, Lynn Street;

Anti Clockwise: Lynn Street, A1065 Station Street/

Castleacre Road, A47, Lynn Road;

Road 2: Whitsands Road, C44 Cley Road, U33353 Haspalls Road,

A1065 London Street, Lynn Street.

The works promoter is Frontline Traffic Solutions Ltd.

SWARDESTONB1113 Main Road from 90m northeast of its

junction with Short Lane for 1350m north-eastwards to facilitate

UK Power Networks electrical works, the road will be temporarily

subject to a 40mph speed restriction from 4th October 2025 to

1st October 2026 (may continue until 3rd April 2027).

Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

The Norfolk County Council (Swardeston) STRO9535 Temporary

Traffic Regulation Order 2023 will be revoked from the date the

Order is in effect (in force).

TACOLNESTONC347 New Road from its junction with U76165

Stonys Lane for 670m northwards to facilitate meter exchange

works between 08:00 and 17:00 on 8th October 2025

(may continue until 19th November 2025). Alternative route is

via: New Road, The Street, Wymondham Road, Norwich Road, The

Turnpike (Ashwellthorpe, Wreningham, Tacolneston). The works

promoter is Anglian Water.

WRENINGHAMC186 Wymondham Road from its junction with

C825 Potash Lane for 600m westwards to facilitate new

roundabout works. The road will be temporarily subject to

a 40mph speed restriction from 5th October to 5th January 2026

(may continue until 5th April 2027). Alternative route is via: N/A.

The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WYMONDHAMU78310 Orchard Way from its junction with

U78318 Rothbury Road for 500m westwards to facilitate footway

maintenance works. The road will be temporarily closed (except

for pedestrian access) and traffic (constituting any class of

vehicle) over the road shall be temporarily prohibited to park,

stop, load, and/or unload from 6th October to 22nd December

2025 (may continue until 22nd June 2026). Alternative route

is via: Rothbury Road, Poplar Street, Back Lane, Orchard Way.

The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

YAXHAMC200 Norwich Road from its junction with U35007

Spring Lane for 220m eastwards to facilitate pole testing works

between 09:30 and 15:30 on 5th October 2025 (may continue

until 16th November 2025). Alternative route is via: C200 Yaxham

Road/Norwich Road, B1135 Whinburgh Road/Dereham Road/The

Lings/Low Street/Norwich Road/Dereham Road, B1108 Norwich

Road, C167 Barnham Broom Road/Rush Green/Bell Road/

Honingham Road/Barham Broom Road, C200 Mattishall Road/

Norwich Road/Dereham Road and vice versa (Kimberley;

Mattishall; Hardingham; Whinburgh and Westfield; Garvestone,

Reymerston and Thuxton; Yaxham; East Tuddenham; Barnham

Broom; Brandon Parva). The works promoter is BT.

The team dealing with enquiries at Norfolk County Council is

South Streetworks.

BURNHAM OVERYA149 Burnham Road from 480m northeast

of its junction with B1355 Bellamy’s Lane for 75m northwards

to facilitate window refurbishment works to property adjacent to

carriageway from 6th to 17th October 2025 (may continue until

28th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Tower Road, Wells

Road, Main Road, Model Farm Road, Burnham Road, Mill Road,

Overy Road, Bellamy’s Lane (Burnham Norton, Holkham,

Burnham Market, Burnham Overy, Burnham Thorpe). The works

promoter is Denby Construction Ltd.

HOCKWOLD-CUM-WILTONC38 Blackdyke Road from 950m

west of its junction with B1112 Feltwell Road for 50m westwards

to facilitate water meter exchange works between 08:00 and

16:00 on 9th October 2025 (may continue until 20th November

2025). Alternative route is via: Black Dyke Road, Feltwell Road,

Wilton Road, Bell Street, High Street, Long Lane, Blackdyke

Crescent (Feltwell, Hockwold-Cum-Wilton). The works promoter is

Anglian Water.

HUNSTANTON – St Edmunds Terrace from 30m south of its

junction with The Green for 15m southwards to facilitate bus

station works, traffic (constituting any class of vehicle except

buses) over the Road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop,

load, and/or unload including the Loading Bay from 6th October

2025 to 31st January 2026 (may continue until 5th April 2027).

Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Norfolk County

Council.

NB: The Loading Bay will be temporarily restricted and

replaced with a temporary bus stop during the anticipated

dates period.

WALSOKENU21101 Osborne Road from 570m south of its

junction with U21101 First Marsh Road for 50m southwards to

facilitate new electrical connection works from 6th to

10th October 2025 (may continue until 21st November 2025).

Alternative route is via: Osborne Road, First Marsh Road,

Waterlees Road, Sherwood Avenue, Ollard Avenue, St Michaels

Avenue, Bath Road, Mount Pleasant Road (Walsoken, Wisbech).

The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

The team dealing with enquiries at Norfolk County Council is

West Streetworks.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to

prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s).

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date

will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason

other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the

public or of serious damage to the road/footpath.

Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date

where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end

date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction

where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions

can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in

respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways,

or byways open to all traffic (BOAT).

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
