London Borough of Southwark - Empress Street and various roads - temporary prohibition of traffic

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK 
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) 
(EMPRESS STREET, LOCKYEAR STREET, OAKDALE ROAD, RAYMOUTH ROAD, ROTHERHITHE NEW ROAD, TIVERTON STREET, RYE LANE 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) 

1.    The Council of the London Borough of Southwark hereby gives notice that to enable various works to be carried out, it intends, to make an order, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicular traffic from entering part of the above named roads.
2.    Whilst the works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs/road markings are displayed, no person shall cause any vehicle to enter, proceed, stop, wait, load or unload at any time in:
(2a) Empress Street, blocked end by bridge HHH 376/376, located between Fielding Street and its blocked end
(2b) Lockyear Street, between Kipling Street and its blocked end
(2c) Oakdale Road, between Linden Grove and Gibbon Road
(2d) Raymouth Road, between No’s 64 and Rotherhithe New Road, banned left turn from Rotherhithe New Road into Raymouth Road
(2e) Rotherhithe New Road, at its junction with Raymouth Road
(2f) Tiverton Street, bridge, located between Rockingham Street and Avonmouth Street
(2g) Rye Lane, at its junction with Choumert Road
3.    The alternative routes for affected traffic will be (2a) not applicable. (2b) not applicable (2c) Linden Grove, Nunhead Lane, Kimberley Avenue, Gibbon Road (2d) & (2e)  Rotherhithe New Road, Roundabout, Rotherhithe New Road (2f) as indicated by the signs displayed (2g) as indicated by the signs displayed
4.    Oakdale Road, between Linden Grove and Gibbon Road, (north & south side) ‘at any-time’ restrictions will be introduced for item No’s (2c)

4.    Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said works.
5.    The restrictions will not apply to any vehicle being used in connection with the said works, or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
6.    The closure will be in operation on the following dates (2a) 27th – 31st October (2b) 24th October (2c) 24th October (2d) 28th October – 17th November (2e) 28th – 17th November
(2f) 27th – 31st October (2g) 26th - 28th October
