THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

(DEREHAM, VARIOUS ROADS)

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) CONSOLIDATION AND VARIATION ORDER 2025

The Norfolk County Council propose to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:

1. Vary The Norfolk County Council (Dereham Road, Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Consolidation and Variation Order 2011 (the “2011 Order”) by extending the prohibition of waiting along Hawkins Drive from 8 metres east of its centreline of its junction with the U35022 Westfield Road eastwards for a distance of 56 metres.

2. Consolidate the 2011 Order; The Norfolk County Council (Dereham, Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Amendment Order 2020 (the “2020 Order”); and The Norfolk County Council (Dereham, Westfield Road and Hawkins Drive) (Prohibition of Waiting) Amendment Order 2023 (the “2023 Order”)

By consolidating and varying the 2011 Order, 2020 Order and 2023 Order, those orders will be revoked in full on the date of commencement of the above Order. All existing lengths of road subject to waiting restrictions under the 2011 Order, 2020 Order and 2023 Order will maintain these restrictions in the above Order, except where amendments have been made as outlined above.

The purpose of this consolidation and variation includes making typographical corrections and removing superfluous wording for clarity, updating legislative references to comply with the current Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, updating road names, adding new definitions and clarifying existing definitions to align with existing legislation and practices.
