Queensway, King’s Lynn – Mandatory Cycle Lane Installation
What is happening?

(KING’S LYNN, QUEENSWAY) CYCLE LANE
NOTICE 2025
The Norfolk County Council is proposing to install a mandatory Cycle Lane under Section 65 (1) of the Highways Act 1980 in order to accord with its duties under Section 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 at the following location:
U20743 Queensway (Both Sides) | From its junction with the A1076 Gayton Road northwards for 329 metres. |
Please note that an advisory cycle lane was previously proposed for this location and was advertised on 25th July 2025. A mandatory cycle lane is now being proposed to replace the previously advertised advisory cycle lane in its entirety.
The plan may be viewed online at https://norfolk.citizenspace.com/. Copies may also be available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich and at the offices of King’s Lynn and West Borough Norfolk King’s Court, Chapel St, King’s Lynn PE30 1EX. Online is recommended.
Any comments relating to the proposed Cycle Lane must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. All correspondence must be received at the office of nplaw, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of nplaw traffic regulation order team by no later than 28th October 2025. They may also be emailed to trafficorders@norfolk.gov.uk.
