A500 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Resurfacing Works

THE A500 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR HANCHURCH, STAFFORDSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A500 trunk road, near Hanchurch, in the County of Staffordshire to allow resurfacing works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close the layby adjacent to the northbound carriageway of the A500, approximately 130 metres east of its roundabout junction with the A519 Newcastle Road and the slip roads leading to and from the M6 (M6 Junction 15), near Hanchurch.
The layby is expected to be closed from 21:00 hours on Tuesday 4 November 2025 until 06:00 hours on Thursday 13 November 2025. The Order will come into force on 28 October 2025.
Vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closure.
