NOTICE OF MAKING

THE BOROUGH OF WATFORD

(WATFORD CENTRAL LEISURE CENTRE OFF STREET PARKING PLACE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council has made the above-mentioned Order pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Authorities Act 2000 and in exercise of powers conferred on that Council under Sections 32, 33 & 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers. The order will come into effect on Monday 6th October 2025

The general effect of this order is to

A) To amend the facility on how users obtain a parking session within the Watford Central Leisure Car Park, which will now require users to enter their vehicle registration mark into a Parking Terminal located inside the Leisure Centre upon arrival and

B) Introduce four blue badge parking bays within Watford Central Leisure Centre Car Park.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any of the provisions contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
