What is happening?

THE A38 TRUNK ROAD (TRERULEFOOT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A38 trunk road in the County of Cornwall to allow bridge works and associated maintenance to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to take place over one night (22.00 to 08.00) commencing on or after 25 October 2025.

The effect of the Order would be to authorise the closure of the A38 eastbound and westbound between Trerulefoot roundabout and the B3249 at Tideford.

During the closures, traffic would be diverted via junctions of the A38 and local roads.

Access to and from premises that are accessible from and only from the A38 would be maintained during the works.

The closure (which would not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles) and diversion route would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.

The Order would come into force on 23 October 2025 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
