Buckinghamshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

The Council has made The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No.58, High Wycombe) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No.58, High Wycombe commencing at the junction of Abbey Barn Lane and continues north west to the junction of Public Footpath No.164, High Wycombe. The closure is required to facilitate the required earthworks and levels required on the Wycombe Summit pursuant to approved planning consent (18/03/25) by Buckinghamshire Council for Wycombe Summit (23/07154/FUL). Alternative route is via existing Highway Network. The Order will come into operation on 1 October, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Coppice Farm Rd, Tylers Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Coppice Farm Rd for approx 25m. Alternative route: Hazlemere Rd, Curzon Ave, Coppice Farm Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Cadent Gas mains renewals commence on 17 October 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 17 October 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Public Footpath No. 2/1, Parish of Stoke Poges) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 made on 13 April 2025, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport been continued in force and will so continue until 14 October 2026. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in Public Footpath No. 2/1, Parish of Stoke Poges, from the junction with Fir Tree Avenue (north) and continues south for the entire length to the junction with Muddy Lane, whilst works are being carried out on the adjoining property. There is no alternative route.
