Hertfordshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE GREEN, SARRATT) ORDER NO.6 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Green, Sarratt from a point in line with the northernmost junction with Cherry Tree Cottage south eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m ("the Road"), except when the works are not in progress.

An alternative route will be via The Green.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK/FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF RADLETT ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles/ pedestrians from using the cycle track/footpath situated on the east side of Radlett Road, Watford from a point 30m south west of a point in line with the southern boundary of No.88 Radlett Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 45m (“the Cycle Track/Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via the cycle track situated on the west side of Radlett Road.

The Order is needed because gas repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track/Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 October 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track/Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF ASCOT ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the west side of Ascot Road, Watford from a point 30m south west of the southern boundary of No.1 Ascot Road (Big Yellow Storage) south westwards for a distance of approximately 265m (“the Cycle Track”).

Pedal cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.

The Order is needed because gas repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 October 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN BUSHEY) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):

  1. that length of B462 Aldenham Road, Bushey from its junction with B462 Harpspring Lane south westwards to its junction with The Avenue roundabout, a distance of approximately 172m.

    An alternative route will be via B462 Harpspring Lane, A411 (Elton Way/Tylers Way), A411 (Elstree Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill) and B462 Aldenham Road or via B462 Harpspring Lane, Park Avenue and Bushey Hall Road.

  2. that length of Bushey Mill Lane, Bushey from its junction with B462 Aldenham Road north westwards to its junction with the Park Avenue roundabout, a distance of approximately 577m.

    An alternative route will be via B462 Aldenham Road, Bushey Hall Road and Park Avenue.

  3. that length of Little Bushey Lane, Bushey from its junction with B462 Aldenham Road south eastwards to a point 35m south east of its junction with Sandy Lane, a distance of approximately 1194m.

    An alternative route will be via B462 Harpspring Lane, A411 (Elton Way/Tylers Way), A411 (Elstree Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill) and B462 Aldenham Road or via B462 Harpspring Lane, Park Avenue and Bushey Hall Road.

    The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

    If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WOODMERE AVENUE, WATFORD) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Woodmere Avenue, Watford from its junction with A41 North Western Avenue to its junction with Eastlea Avenue, a distance of approximately 205m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A41 (North Western Avenue/One Way/North Approach), A412 St Albans Road, Bushey Mill Lane and Woodmere Avenue.

The Order is needed because utility connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN OTTERSPOL LANE, ALDENHAM) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Otterspool Lane, Aldenham from its junction with Berry Grove Lane (track) northwards, north westwards and then north eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except when the works are not in progress.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being undertaken. The Order also prohibits all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CHASE, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Chase, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road northwards, south eastwards and southwards for a distance of approximately 336m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available to vehicles when the works are being undertaken. When applicable, provision for access to premises will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE COURTYARD, CARPENDERS PARK) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Courtyard, Carpenders Park from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.8 The Courtyard north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via The Courtyard, Greenfield Avenue and The Courtyard.

The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order has been made shall come into force on 6 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SQUARE, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Square, Watford from its junction with the eastern boundary of No.15 The Square southwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available to vehicles when the works are being undertaken. When applicable, provision for access to premises will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order has been made shall come into force on 6 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
