GAS MAINS REPLACEMENT

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT, WHERE AND WHEN:

The following will be closed to all vehicles and no parking, no waiting at any time and no loading/ unloading at any time –

Chessel Avenue, from the junction with Boscombe Overcliff Drive for a distance of approx. 45 metres in a northerly direction – anticipated dates 13th October until 30th January 2026

Keswick Road, from the junction with Boscombe Overcliff Drive for a distance of approx. 17 metres in a northerly direction – anticipated dates 13th October until 31st October 2025

Penrith Road, from the junction with Boscombe Overcliff Drive for a distance of approx. 36 metres in a northerly direction – anticipated dates 20th October until 7th November 2025

Browning Avenue, from the junction with Boscombe Overcliff Drive for a distance of approx. 20 metres in a northerly direction – anticipated dates 27th October until 14th November 2025

Woodland Avenue, from the junction with Boscombe Overcliff Drive for a distance of approx. 38 metres in a northerly direction – anticipated dates 3rd November until 28th November 2025

Ravine Road, from the junction with Boscombe Overcliff Drive for a distance of approx. 14 metres in a northerly direction – anticipated dates 17th November until 5th December 2025

Dingle Road, from the junction with Boscombe Overcliff Drive for a distance of approx. 27 metres in a northerly direction – anticipated dates 24th November until 12th December 2025

Montague Road, from the junction with Boscombe Overcliff Drive for a distance of approx. 29 metres in a northerly direction – anticipated dates 1st December until 19th December 2025

Portman Crescent, from the junction with Boscombe Overcliff Drive for a distance of approx. 19 metres in a northerly direction – anticipated dates 9th December until 19th December 2025

DIVERSION: Via signed routes

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

WHY: Gas mains replacement works by SGN

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
