Swindon, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

SECTION 14 — THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make following orders:

(STRO01201) Lechlade Road, Highworth.

This Order is being introduced for SSEN and will impose a prohibition of driving on Lechlade Road at Blackworth Roundabout. Traffic to be diverted via A361, B4019, A419, A429, A417 and A361. The Order comes into force on the 17 November 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place overnight from 23:00 hours on the 17 November 2025 to 03:00 hours on the 18 November 2025.

(STRO01183) Wellington Street, Swindon.

This Order is being introduced for THAMES WATER and will impose a prohibition of driving on Wellington Street at the junction with Milford Street/Manchester Road. Traffic to be diverted via Station Road, Corporation Street and Manchester Road. The Order comes into force on the 10 November 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place on the 10 November 2025 between the times of 7am to 4pm.

(STRO01188) Prospect Place, Swindon.

This Order is being introduced for THAMES WATER and will impose a prohibition of driving on Prospect Place outside Paxton House. Traffic to be diverted via Victoria Road and Bath Road. The Order comes into force on the 17 November 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place on the 17 and 20 November 2025.

(STRO01175) North Street, Swindon.

This Order is being introduced for CITY FIBRE and will impose a prohibition of driving on North Street between the junctions of Western Street and Prospect Hill. Traffic to be diverted via Western Street and Prospect Hill. The Order comes into force on the 29 October 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place on the 29 October 2025 between the times of 6am to 6pm.

(STRO01186) George Street, Swindon.

This Order is being introduced for CIRECRT and will impose a prohibition of driving on George Street to the rear of No’s 24 to 15.

Traffic to be diverted via Dean Street (rear), George Street, Dixon Street (rear) and Butterworth Street. The Order comes into force on the 17 November 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place between 17 to 19 November 2025.

(STRO01182) Clegghorn Drive, Swindon.

This Order is being introduced for THAMES WATER works and will impose a closure of the footpath and cycle track on Clegghorn Drive. Cyclist/Pedestrians to follow signed diversion route. The Order comes into force on the 13 October 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to be minor and closures are only required intermittently from 13 October 2025 to 19 October 2025.

(STRO01139) Beech Avenue, Swindon.

This Order is being introduced for SBC RESURFACING and will impose a prohibition of driving on Beech Avenue from the junction with The Circle and Swindon Academy. Traffic to be diverted via Beech Avenue, Northern Road, Ferndale Road, St Marys Grove, Pinehurst Road and vice versa. The Order comes into force on the 23 October 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place between 23 to 27 October 2025.

(STRO01145) Kingswood Avenue, Walcot.

This Order is being introduced for SBC RESURFACING and will impose a prohibition of driving on Kingswood Avenue between Bentley Close to Welcome Avenue. Traffic to be diverted via Whitbourne Avenue and Welcome Avenue. The Order comes into force on the 23 October 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place between 23 to 27 October 2025.

(STRO01144) Hay Lane, Swindon.

This Order is being introduced for SBC RESURFACING and will impose a prohibition of driving on Hay Lane at the entrance of Lydiard Park to the roundabout junction with Grange Park Way. Traffic to be diverted via Grange Park Way, Whitehill Way, Tewkesbury Way, Roughmoor Way and Tregoze Way. The Order comes into force on the 27 October 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place between 27 to 31 October 2025.

(STRO01146) Martinsfield, Covingham.

This Order is being introduced for SBC RESURFACING and will impose a prohibition of driving on Martinsfield. Access to be maintained for residents where possible. The Order comes into force on the 23 October 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place between 23 October 2025.

(STRO01149) Southbrook Street, Rodbourne Cheney.

This Order is being introduced for SBC RESURFACING and will impose a prohibition of driving on Southbrook Street. Access to be maintained for residents where possible. The Order comes into force on the 31 October 2025 for 6 months, but works are expected to take place between 31 October to 3 November 2025.
