The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders:

The Isle of Wight Council (Roud Road, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 7 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that at all times between Monday 13 October 2025, and Friday 31 October, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Roud Road, Godshill, for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Bridge maintenance Work.

The Isle of Wight Council (Froglands Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025

The Isle of Wight Council (Little London, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

The Isle of Wight Council (Crossways Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 13 October 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 7th November 2025, or when the works have been completed, Crossways Road will be closed for its entire length. These works are phased, and on-street signage will depict each phase. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Leeson Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Wednesday 15 October 2025 until 1600 hours on Friday 17th October 2025, or when the works have been completed, Leeson Road will be closed, for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for tree maintenance works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Scarrotts Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 13 October 2025 until 1900 hours on Friday 17th October 2025, or when the works has been completed, Scarrotts Lane will be closed, for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Weeks Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 13 October 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 17th October 2025, or when the works has been completed, Weeks Road will be closed, for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Fieldway Crescent, Northwood, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 13 October 2025 until 1900 hours on Friday 17th October 2025, or when the works has been completed, Fieldway Crescent will be closed, for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Lynch Lane, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 13 October 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 17th October 2025, or when the works has been completed, Lynch Lane, Brighstone will be closed for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 10 October 2025 and Friday 21 November 2025 the following roads will be closed between either 0800 and 1800 or 1800 and 0600 hours for a period of approximately one to 3 days or nights within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable High Friction surfacing works, any associated white works, to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any vehicle or person to use the road whilst the works are in progress. The works are weather sensitive and may not commence on any adjoining side road were indicated by signs. The works may include carriageway and footway resurfacing, reconstruction, works, profiling and other civil and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access arrangements will be communicated through advanced notices and updates based on street advanced warning signage. The works are subject to further planning and review and may need to be reprogrammed should adverse weather or other events have an impact on this programme.

The Isle of Wight Council (Little London, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Little London will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Staplers Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 9 2025 – Staplers Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Marlborough Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2025 – Marlborough Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Landguard Manor Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Landguard Manor Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Landguard Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Landguard Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Road, Northwood, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Newport Road will be closed for its entire length.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 10 October 2025 and Friday 17 January 2026 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately 5 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and lining works, any associated pre-works, to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme:

The Isle of Wight Council (Brannon Way, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Brannon Way will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Argyl Place, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Argyl Place will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Tennyson Close, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Tennyson Close will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Whitehouse Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2025 – Whitehouse Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Staplers Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 10 2025 – Staplers Road, including the entire gyratory system, will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Briddlesford Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2025 – Briddlesford Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Quay Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 10:00 until 10:30 hours, and, from 12:00 hours to 12:30 hours, on Monday 13 October 2025, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along Quay Street for its entire length. The closure is required for safety during the Isle of Wight Legal Service Procession. The diversion will be signposted locally.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 6 October 2025 until 1800 hours on Thursday 9 October 2025, or when the works have been completed, Godshill Road will be closed between its junctions with Southford Lane and Millers Lane. The Isle of Wight Council (Rew Street, Gurnard, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 6 October 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 23 January 2026, or when the works have been completed, Rew Street will be closed for its entire length. These works will be phased, and on-street signage will depict each phase as the works progress. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Moortown Lane, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 5 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0830 hours on Monday 6 October 2025 until 1700 hours on Friday 10 October 2025, or when the works have been completed, Moortown Lane will be closed for its entire length, the exact length of the closure will be depicted by on-street signage. The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for approximately ten days, between Friday 3rd October 2025 until Friday 17 October 2025, or when the works have been completed, the one-way restrictions will be revoked along the following lengths of road

a) Mount Street, Ryde, for its entire length and

b) Arthur Street, Ryde, for its entire length.

The alternative route will be signposted locally. The revocations are required whilst works for carriageway maintenance are being carried out in the area.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No Waiting at Any Time Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for approximately ten days, between Friday 3rd October 2025 until Friday 17 October 2025, or when the works has been completed, a ‘No Waiting at any Time’ parking restriction will be introduced along the following lengths of road

a) Mount Street, Ryde, on both sides, for its entire length and

b) Arthur Street, Ryde, on both sides, for its entire length.

The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restrictions are required whilst works for carriageway maintenance are being carried out in the area.

No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud works and lining works. The Isle of Wight Council (Firestone Copse Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2025 – Firestone Copse Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – High Street will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (New Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – New Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Arreton Road, Arreton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2025 – Arreton Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Newport Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Main Road, Shalfleet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2025 – Main Road will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (York Avenue, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2025 – York Avenue will be closed for its entire length.
