What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bridge Barn Lane (D3637) Woking as extends from its junction with Mabel Street (D3638) to the southern boundary of the property known as “Bridge Cottage”.
Alternative route: Goldsworth Road, Wilfred Street and Mabel Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate electrical works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 3 November 2025 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to properties within the closure as well as for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Old Woking Road (A245) West Byfleet
Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in the south westbound carriageway of Old Woking Road (A245) West Byfleet from turning left into (D2744) Pyford Road. Alternative Route: (A245) Old Woking Road, (B367) Oakcroft Road, (B367) Coldhabour Road, Engliff Lane, Boltons Lane, and Pyrford Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate S278 works for, or on behalf of Silco Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 November 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
