What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(AMPTHILL TO MAULDEN BYPASS, AMPTHILL)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ampthill to Maulden Bypass, Ampthill at the junction with the101 roundabout.

This temporary closure is required to enable bridge inspection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 25 to 27 October 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A507, A6, A421, Bedford Road, A507.

The Order will come into operation on 25 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(SALFORD ROAD, ASPLEY GUISE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Salford Road, Aspley Guise 20 metres either side of the level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable rerail, pothole repairs and white lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 11:00pm on the 25 October 2025 to 4:00am on the 27 October 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Salford Road, Crabtree Lane, Cranfield Road, Wavendon Road, Manor Close, Salford Road, Bedford Road, The Square, Church Street and Salford Road.

The Order will come into operation on 25 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(CLOPHILL ROAD, MAULDEN)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Clophill Road, Maulden between 129a and 131 Clophill Rd.

This temporary closure is required to enable Section 278 and full carriageway resurfacing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 27 to 31 October 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A6, A507, C100 and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on 27 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(CORNWALL ROAD, AMPTHILL)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Cornwall Road, Ampthill.

This temporary closure is required to enable floor prevention works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 13 October 2025 to 14 November 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Dukes Road, Queens Road, Saunders Piece and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 13 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HILLS END, EVERSHOLT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hills End, Eversholt from number 61 to Tyrells End Farm.

This temporary closure is required to enable gully cleansing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 15 October 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Tyrells End, Froxfield and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 13 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(WATER END ROAD, MAULDEN)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Water End Road, Maulden outside plot 1.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 15 to 17 October 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Clophill Road, A507 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 15 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Berry End, Eversholt outside number 82.

This temporary closure is required to enable boundary box repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place 14 to 16 October 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Eversholt Road, Cobblers Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 14 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(MANOR WAY, FLITWICK)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Manor Way, Flitwick outside number 32.

This temporary closure is required to enable manhole repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 13 October 2025 between the hours of 8am and 4pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Temple Way, Dunstable Road, Steppingley Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 13 October 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(WESTONING: PART OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY NO. 5)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length of public Bridleway No. 5, Westoning which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0493 3150 to OS GR TL 0520 3144

This temporary closure is required to allow Anglian Water to install a water main. The closure is expected to take place from 27th October to 5th December 2025.

The alternative route for bridleway users while the closure is in operation will be:

For walker – public footpaths 4, 14 and 8A and for cyclists and equestrians – the unaffected section of bridleway 5, BOAT 28/23 and Sampshill Lane

If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(MAULDEN: PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.4)

( TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER  2025

Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Public Footpath No 4, Maulden which extends from it’s junction with New Road at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0550 3662 for a distance of approximately 370 metres to it’s junction with the A507  at OS GR TL  0556 3627

This temporary closure is required for safety purposes due to the condition of a section of the bank revetment. The closure is expected to be in place for at least 6 months.

There is no alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation. Please use other local public rights of way in the meantime.
