(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
BOOTHFERRY ROAD LEVEL CROSSING,
GOOLE
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along Boothferry Road Level Crossing, Goole and 20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing 27 October 2025 at 23.30 hours until 28 October 2025 at 05.30 hours. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed Boothferry Road, Goole annual level crossing testing works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within seven hours. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Mariners Street, Stanhope Street, Lower Bridge Street, A161 Normandy Way, A161 Normandy Way Roundabout, A161 Tom Pudding Way, Andersen Road, A614 Rawcliffe Road and Boothferry Road, Goole CP, Goole South Ward, Goole North Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic and pedestrians however access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
The Order will commence 27 October 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
