Essex, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Hall Lane, Dovercourt) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Lane, Dovercourt in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Fronks Road to its junction with Wick Lane a distance of approximately 500m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2387111-H2387113 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Fronks Road, The Drive, Wick Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 10th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mayes Lane, Ramsey/Little Oakley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mayes Lane, Ramsey/Little Oakley in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Oakley Road to the junction with Ramsey Road a distance of approximately 735m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2385718 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway and cycleway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Ramsey Road, Oakley Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 10th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Parkeston Road, Dovercourt) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Parkeston Road, Dovercourt in the District of Tendring, from its junctions with Parkeston Quay Roundabout for a distance of approximately 85m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th October 2025 for 1 night (20:30-05:00) or where stated on a valid permit (FN40693772002 – National Highways). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while lamp column replacement works are undertaken by National Highways. An alternative route is available via A120, B1232, Main Road, Parkeston Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 26th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
