St Ann’s Road North - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(ST ANN’S ROAD NORTH, HEALD GREEN NO.2) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at St Ann’s Road North, Heald Green, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to allow for works to install new kerbs, gullies tactile crossing points and to undertake resurfacing in relation to the new hospice. It is estimated these works will last 3 days. A diversion will be provided via Finney Lane, Simonsway, Brownley Road, Hollyhedge Road, Styal Road, Park Road, Northenden Road, Gatley Road, Kingsway, and Wilmslow Road. This Notice does not apply to pedestrians. This Notice does not prevent local access. This Order is to come into operation on the 27 October 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
