What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
CATTLE HILL, NUNBURNHOLME
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along Cattle Hill, Nunburnholme
between Quarry House and Warrendale Farm Access
Road commencing 20 October 2025.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
new connection works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed by 28 October 2025.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via Cattle Hill, Coldwold, Roman Road, Butt Lane,
Main Street, Westbeck Hill, Inrea Hill, Baggaby Hill and
vice versa. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for
vehicular access to properties directly affected by the
closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 20 October 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
