EXTENSION OF MATCH/EVENT DAY PART-TIME CLOSURE
HOLMESDALE ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD
The Croydon (Traffic Movement) (No. 3) Order 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Croydon on 29 September 2025 made the above mentioned Order under Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to extend the existing part-time match/event day closure in Holmesdale Road (between Clifton Road and Upper Grove) southwestwards, to prohibit vehicles proceeding between its junctions with Upper Grove and Dagmar Road/Farnley Road. The closure would be in force for up to two hours before and at the end of a football match or an event at Selhurst Park Football Stadium to clear crowds until normal traffic operation can be resumed. The Order is intended to assist with the safety of football supporters/event attendees at matches or events at the Selhurst Park ground.
3. Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on 06 October 2025 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

and (Free Parking Places) (No. F51) Order 20–
The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No. F52) Order 20–
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Orders in Purley Road and Wyche Grove would be:
(a) To introduce waiting restrictions operating “at any time”:
• On the entire south-west (even-numbered) side of Purley Road.
• On the north-east side of Purley Road outside the vehicular entrance to No. 15a Purley Road.
• On the north-east side of Purley Road between its junction with Sanderstead Road and a point 12 metres north-west of that junction.
• In Wyche Grove, on both sides, extending south-westwards from its junction with Purley Road for 8 metres.
(b) To introduce a partial footway parking bay on the north-east side of Purley Road, extending from the common boundary of Nos. 21 and 23 south-eastwards (towards Sanderstead Road) for 49.5 metres.
Note: Footway parking would only be permitted in the marked footway bay. Other vehicles parked on the north-east side of Purley Road would be expected to park fully on the carriageway or be liable to receive a Penalty Charge Notice.
3. The general effect of the Orders in Rutherwick Rise would be:
(a) To introduce waiting restrictions operating “at any time” on the southern, south-eastern and south-western (odd-numbered) side of Rutherwick Rise at the following locations.
• From the end of the existing double yellow lines outside No. 135 south-eastwards (towards No. 129) for 37 metres.
• From a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 83 and 85 south-westwards (towards No. 127) for 46 metres.
• From a point 10 metres south-west of the north-eastern end of the existing double yellow lines on the opposite side of the road south-westwards (towards No. 81) for 2 metres.
(b) To introduce partial footway parking bays on the southern, south-eastern and south-western (odd-numbered) side of Rutherwick Rise at the following locations.
• From a point opposite the north-eastern end of the existing double yellow lines on the opposite (even-numbered) side of the road south-westwards (towards No. 77) for 10 metres.
• From a point 12 metres south-west of the north-eastern end of the existing double yellow lines on the opposite (even-numbered) side of the road south-westwards (towards No. 85) for 12 metres.
• From a point 37 metres south-east of the end of the existing double yellow lines outside No. 135 south-eastwards for 38 metres.
4. To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.
5. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all documents can be obtained by email request to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.
6. Persons desiring to object or make representations in relation to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Design Team, Place Department, Croydon Council, Floor 3, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA or email Parking design (address above) quoting the reference PD/CH/F51 & F52 by 23 October 2025.
7. The proposed Orders are intended to introduce new footway parking bays and double yellow lines in Purley Road and Rutherwick Rise to improve access and reduce footway obstruction.

PROPOSED RAISED ZEBRA CROSSING
PAMPISFORD ROAD, PURLEY
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that they propose to install a raised zebra crossing in the above road as specified in the Schedule to this Notice to provide a safe crossing facility and improve road safety for school children and other pedestrians.
The general effect of the proposed markings would be to prohibit all vehicles from stopping on the markings for any reason and to improve road safety by aiding pedestrians to cross safely.
Persons desiring to object to the proposal should send a statement in writing of their objections and grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Design Team, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference PD/CH/Pampisford Rd Zebra/F33 by 22 October 2025.

Schedule
It is intended to place a raised zebra crossing in the carriageway in accordance with the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999. As a guide this will be between 75mm and 80mm high with an approximate ramp gradient of 1:20 and placed in the following location.
Pampisford Road, outside the common boundary of Nos. 41 and 43 – The crossing point will be 5.2 metres wide, and the zig zag markings will extend for 17.4 metres either side of the crossing point.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be:
a) To remove 10.9 metres of free parking bay and 6.9 metres of adjacent single yellow line on the south-east side of Pampisford Road, opposite Nos. 45 and 47, and replace them with a 17.8 metre length of “at any time” double yellow lines.
b) To remove 40 metres of “at any time” double yellow lines on the south-east side and 40 metres of single yellow from the north-west side of Pampisford Road (outside/opposite Nos. 39 to 45) and replace them with a new raised zebra crossing and zig-zag markings.
3. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made, or the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). 5. The Order is intended to amend existing waiting restrictions and free parking bays in Pampisford Road, Purley, to accommodate a new raised zebra crossing. The changes are part of a scheme to introduce improvements to create a safer environment for pedestrians in Pampisford Road.
