(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cross Roads, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Robin Hood Roundabout to its junction with Pauls Nursery Road a distance of approximately 400m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th November 2025 for 1 night (21:00–05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20123892192 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cattle grate cleaning works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Pauls Nursery Road, Wake Road, Woodridden Hill, Wake Arms Roundabout, Epping New Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Forest Side, Waltham Abbey)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Forest Side, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Honey Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th November 2025 for 2 nights (21:00–05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20123892161 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cattle grate cleaning works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Woodridden Hill, Woodgreen Road, Wake Road, Claypit Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rangers Road, Buckhurst Hill in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Epping New Road for a distance of approximately 710m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th November 2025 for 1 night (21:00–05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20123892171 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cattle grid cleaning works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via A104, A121, A112, A110, A1069 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 9th October 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, District of Epping Forest & City of Chelmsford)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Temporary Introduction of a Clearway & Temporary Introduction of a 40MPH Speed Restriction) (No. 2) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Epping Forest and City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule
To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed limit in those lengths of road in the District of Epping Forest & City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order.
A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
“The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 9th October 2025; exact dates will be specified on One.Network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Churchgate Street, Harlow in the District of Harlow, from its junction with Sheering Road to its junction with Mill Lane a distance of approximately 120m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2390700 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while defect repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Sheering Road, A1025, A414, London Road, Harlow Common, Foster Street, Hobbs Cross Road, Churchgate Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Downhall Road, Matching Green)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Downhall Road, Matching Green in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 25m south east of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 85m in an easterly then a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th October 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410265554 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while frame and lid renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Downhall Road, Matching Tye Road, Church Lane, The Street, Hatfield Heath Road, Sheering Road, Matching Road and vice versa.

(Laundry Lane, Nazeing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Laundry Lane, Nazeing in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 215m north west of its junction with Waltham Road for a distance of approximately 420m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd October 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30064563294 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Waltham Road, St Leonards Road and vice versa.

(Upland Road, Epping Upland) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Upland Road, Epping Upland in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 1425m south west of its junction with High Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20157308602 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while culvert repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Upland Road, High Road, Thornwood Road, Palmers Hill, Lindsey Street, Epping Road, Upland Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Woodgreen Road, Waltham Abbey)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Woodgreen Road, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from both of its junction with Woodridden Hill to its junction with to its junction with Woodbine Close a distance of approximately 360m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2390142 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via A121, B1393, Crown Hill, Copthall Green, Horseshoe Hill, Woodgreen Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
