What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ASTROPE LANE, TRING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Astrope Lane, Tring from its junction with Watery Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 43m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Astrope Lane, Broad Highway, B498 Lower Icknield Way, Wingrave Road, Tring Road and Astrope Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HARRIOTS END LANE, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Harriots End Lane, Berkhamsted from its junction with A416 Chesham Road south eastwards, north eastwards, eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 1075m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A416 (Chesham Road/Ashley Green Road), Lycrome Road, B4505 (Rushmere Lane/Chesham Road), Whelpley Road and Harriots End Lane.

The Order is needed because development works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1.  that length of Ravens Lane/Gravel Path, Berkhamsted from its junction with A4251 High Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 1300m.

An alternative route will be via A4251 (High Street/Gossoms End/High Street), B4506 (New Road/Ringshall Road), B440 (Main Road South/Hemel Hempstead Road/Dagnall Road/Leighton Buzzard Road), Potten End Hill, Water End Road, The Common and Gravel Path.

2. that length of Hunters Park, Berkhamsted from its junction with Gravel Path south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3.   that length of Gilpins Ride, Berkhamsted from its junction with Gravel Path south eastwards for a distance of approximately 26m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4.  that length of Millfield, Berkhamsted from its junction with Gravel Path south eastwards for a distance of approximately 21m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. that length of Station Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Gravel Path north westwards for a distance of approximately 22m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

6.  that length of George Street, Berkhamsted from its junction with Gravel Path south eastwards for a distance of approximately 18m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

7. that length of Chapel Street, Berkhamsted from its junction with Ravens Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 15m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

8.  that length of Holliday Street, Berkhamsted from its junction with Ravens Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 19m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN NETTLEDEN ROAD, WATER END) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Nettleden Road, Water End from its junction with B440 Leighton Buzzard Road south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 1502m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via B440 (Leighton Buzzard Road/ Dagnall Road), Hudnall Lane and Nettleden Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREEN LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Green Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the Cherry Tree Lane/Hogg End Lane roundabout south westwards, southwards and south eastwards to its junction with  Boundary Way, a distance of approximately 645m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Cherry Tree Lane, Three Cherry Trees Lane and Boundary Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN MARKYATE, GREAT GADDESDEN AND TRING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-

1. that length of Buckwood Road, Markyate from its junction with High Street south westwards and westwards to its junction with Parkfield, a distance of approximately 236m.

An alternative route will be via High Street, Pickford Road, Corner Wood and Parkfield.

2.   that length of Markyate Street Lane, Great Gaddesden from its junction with Puddephats Lane south westwards to its junction with Gaddesden Row, a distance of approximately 795m.

An alternative route will be via Markyate Street Lane, Beechwood Lane and Gaddesden Row.

3.  that length of B4635 Western Road, Tring from its junction with the Christchurch Road roundabout south westwards to its junction with Miswell Lane, a distance of approximately 308m.

An alternative route will be via B4635 High Street, B486 (Brook Street/Wingrave Road/New Mill Terrace/Wingrave Road), B488 Icknield Way and B4635 (Aylesbury Road/Western Road). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ashley Close, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Bennetts End Close south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN SELDEN HILL AND 2U2033 (UNNAMED ROAD), HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. the northbound carriageway of Selden Hill, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A414 The Plough roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 24m.

An alternative route will be via A414 St Albans Road, Park Lane and Selden Hill.

2.   the northbound carriageway of 2U2033 (unnamed road), Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Seldon Hill north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 50 m.

An alternative route will be via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, Moor End Road and 2U2033 (unnamed road). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PARK STREET, TRING AND CHESHAM ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-

1. that length of Park Street, Tring from its junction with Akeman Street north eastwards to its junction with Tring Town Public Footpath No.037, a distance of approximately 97m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2.  that length of Chesham Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Hilltop Road north eastwards to its junction with A4251 High Street, a distance of approximately 553 m.

An alternative route will be via Chesham Road, A416 (Kingshill Way/ Kings Road) and A4251 High Street.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE A414 THE PLOUGH ROUNDABOUT, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the A414 The Plough roundabout, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road clockwise to its junction with Selden Hill, a distance of approximately 48m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4147 (Link Road/Redbourn Road/Swallowdale Lane/Maylands Avenue) and A414 St Albans Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 14 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BEAUMAYES CLOSE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Beaumayes Close, Hemel Hempstead from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.33 Beaumayes Close southwards for its entire length (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 13 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
