What is happening?

(Footpath 30, Bures Hamlet) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

Effect of the order:  To temporarily close Footpath 30 Bures Hamlet in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 10 metres east of The Paddocks, east then southeast for approximately 10 metres to the side of Number 25 The Paddocks.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 07 October 2025 to 09 October 2025 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the installation of a new water connection undertaken by Anglian Water.

Alternative route: The Paddocks, Station Hill, Colchester Road and vice versa.The Order will come into effect on 07 October 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
