What is happening?

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN MOVEMENT) ORDER 2025

On 29 September 2025 the North Lanarkshire Council made the abovenamed Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 , as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on reconstructing footpath) on Maclehose Road, Cumbernauld from the rear corner of Kildrum Nursery to the side of numbers 93-95 by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: via Lochlea Road

Pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties.

The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 13 October 2025 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Friday, 24 October 2025.
