TEMPORARY CLOSURE 405158 BOSELEY WAY
(CINDERFORD TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 405158 Boseley Way from outside of the property known as No.1 Boseley Way to outside of the property known as No.38 Somerset Road for a distance of approximately 170 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works within the carriage way replacing gas mains pipes. The said road is expected to be closed from 13th October 2025 to 5th December 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400042 MOUNT PLEASANT
(LYDNEY TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400042 Mount Pleasant from its junction with Lakeside Avenue to its junction with Valley Road for a distance of approximately 264 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of OCU Utilities to rectify utilities within the carriageway.

The said road is expected to be closed from 13th October 2025 to 15th October 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 405175 Bents Lane from its junction with Pound Morse Road to outside of the property known as ‘Headway’ for a distance of approximately 125 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 13th October 2025 to 15th October 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C32 Hawthorns Road from outside of the property known as ‘the Deers Leap’ to outside of the property known as ‘The Beehive’ for a distance of approximately 40 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of the National Grid.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 13th October 2025 to 16:00hrs on 17th October 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C26 Road from Reddinhorn Cottage to County Boundary, from outside the property known as ‘Chapel Cottage’ to its junction with the Ancient Road for a distance of approximately 1535 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for fibre optic works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 15th October until 16:45hrs on

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH FWO 104
(WOOLASTON PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath FWO 104 from its junction with Road Number C5

(Severn View Road) and then extends in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 435 metres to its junction with FWO 103.

The Footpath falls in Parish of Woolaston in the Forest of Dean District and in the County of Gloucestershire;

The closure is necessary to protect the public while construction works are completed. The Order came into force on the 14th December 2023 and authorised the closure for a period of six months. However, as the works had not been completed within this time The Secretary of State granted an extension of the said Order until the 14th December 2025. As it is now known that works will not be completed by that date, the Secretary of State has now granted a further extension until 14th June 2027 or until the works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for ground investigation works.

The said roads are expected to be closed, between 30th October 2025 and 20th January 2026, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This Order can permit the closure of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated the works will be take place on 30th October 2025, 31st October 2025 and 20th January 2026. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

There will be no stopping, waiting or loading permitted when the works are in operation.
