What is happening?

Manchester City Council

proposes to make the:
CITY OF MANCHESTER (THE CHRISTIE AREA) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, PARKING PLACES AND AMENDMENT) (ORDER 2015) (AMENDMENT NO.6) ORDER 2025 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to introduce the following:

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME:
Francis Road: (i) the north-west side from a point 34 metres southwest of its junction with Cotton Lane in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
(ii) the north-west side from a point 19 metres southwest of its junction with Cotton Lane in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.

NO LOADING AT ANY TIME:
Francis Road: (i) the north-west side from a point 24 metres southwest of its junction with Cotton Lane in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 5 metres, (ii) the north-west side from a point 34 metres southwest of its junction with Cotton Lane in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 5 metres.

LIMITED WAITING PARKING PLACE MONDAY - FRIDAY 8AM - 6PM, WAITING LIMITED TO 3 HOURS, NO RETURN WITHIN 4 HOURS, EXEMEPTION FOR RESIDENTS WITH PERMITS:
Francis Road: (i) northwest side from a point 44 metres southwest of its junction with Cotton Lane in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 46 metres having a width throughout of 1.8 metres, (ii) Francis Road northwest side from a point 10 metres southwest of its junction with Cotton Lane in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 9 metres having a width throughout of 1.8 metres.

Existing Orders shall be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals. 

A copy of the proposed Order together with a statement of reasons and plans showing the proposals may be inspected by appointment at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Please email or write into address below for a copy of documents.
