TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TR08422 – Witton Street in Northwich
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Northwich to enable repair to sewer. These works are weather dependant and may be rescheduled.
Works to be carried out by United Utilities Water Ltd.
WITTON STREET: Junction with Venables Road – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 06/10/2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 12 days to complete.
Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Albion Road, Witton Street, Old Warrington Road, Wincham Road. Go north on Venables Road Turn right on Albion Road Turn right on Old Warrington Road Turn right on Witton Street.

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL
(RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LIMITED WAITING) ORDER 2025
PTRO820 – Old High Street, Winsford
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the proposed order will be to prohibit waiting at all times on the lengths of road specified in the attached schedules.
Full details showing the proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a map showing the affected area; the Council’s statement of reasons for making the order and a copy of this Notice, may be examined during the usual office hours at Winsford Area Highways Office, Browning Way, Woodford Park, Winsford, CW7 2RB. Copies of the documents may be obtained by emailing highways@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk.
All objections and other representations relating to the order must be made in writing and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made, to the undersigned quoting reference PTRO 820 by 27/10/2025.
