Elder Drive And Juniper Drive - Speed Limit Order

What is happening?

CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
(ELDER DRIVE AND JUNIPER DRIVE) SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2025

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne propose to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The effect of the proposed Order is to introduce a 20 miles per hour speed limit on the following lengths of road -

(a) Elder Drive, for its entire length, and

(b) Juniper Drive, for its entire length.

3. If you wish to view the documents relating to the Order (including the draft Order, Map and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order), please email a request to streetworks@newcastle.gov.uk

Alternatively, please telephone (0191) 2787878 to request a copy of the documents. Details can also be viewed at www.letstalknewcastle.co.uk

The documents may also be viewed free of charge at The Arches reception, Newcastle Civic Centre, Barras Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8QH between 9am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

4. If you wish to object to, or make other representations about, the proposed Order or any of its provisions you should send your objection or representation by 26th October 2025 quoting reference TR/P45/1350 to Newcastle Parking Services, P.O. Box 2BL, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE99 2BL, or by email to traffic.notices@newcastle.gov.uk.

Any objection or representation MUST be made in writing and where an objection is made, it must state the grounds of the objection.
